Corporate Development Manager (M&A)

Mapon develops easily usable and efficient GPS tracking and car park management solutions suitable for large companies and private persons. The company is among the market leaders and currently tracks more than 250 000 moving objects worldwide, which have already covered in total more than 40 billion kilometers.

We are looking for a Corporate Development Manager (M&A) – a strategically minded and experienced professional who will drive the company’s growth by developing new business opportunities and executing mergers and acquisitions projects. If you have experience in M&A (Mergers and Acquisitions), excellent analytical skills, and the ability to manage complex transactions from concept to integration, we want you on our team!

Your tasks will be:

  • Perform in-depth market research and industry analysis to identify potential acquisition targets.
  • Analyze competitive landscapes, key market trends, and growth drivers to determine opportunities for strategic acquisitions.
  • Collect and synthesize data from various sources, including industry reports, public filings, and personal outreach.
  • Conduct comprehensive evaluations of potential acquisition opportunities, identifying business drivers, synergies, risks, and trends.
  • Prepare detailed financial models, valuations, and investment case analyses for proposed acquisitions.
  • Present findings, recommendations, and investment strategies to the Board and executive leadership.
  • Develop and manage a pipeline of potential acquisition opportunities.
  • Build and nurture relationships with target companies, advisors, and intermediaries to ensure a strong flow of opportunities.
  • Lead the end-to-end transaction process, including target valuation, deal structuring, purchase price proposals, and negotiation strategies.
  • Manage and coordinate the due diligence process with internal teams and external advisors.
  • Oversee the drafting and negotiation of transaction agreements, including the Sale and Purchase Agreement (SPA).
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure smooth post-acquisition integration of acquired businesses.
  • Conduct post-acquisition assessments to evaluate transaction success and alignment with strategic goals.

We expect from you:

  • Bachelor's degree in Economics, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Experience in valuation, financial modeling, and due diligence, with demonstrated success in leading transactions or strategic projects.
  • Strong analytical mindset with the ability to identify risks and opportunities in potential investments.
  • Proven ability to deliver results under pressure and tight deadlines.
  • Effective time-management skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Excellent communication skills (written and verbal) in Latvian and English.
  • Outstanding persuasive skills and the ability to present complex ideas clearly to senior leadership and the Board.
  • A collaborative mindset and the ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams.
  • Knowledge of the risks associated with M&A transactions and integration processes.
